Phoenix police released surveillance video of a robbery earlier this month in hopes of catching two suspects.
At approximately 9:48 a.m. on Sept. 5, the two suspects entered the J-town clothing store near 19th and Dunlap avenues and committed armed robbery.
One of the suspects was armed with a black semi-automatic handgun with an extended magazine and was wearing a surgical mask. As he pointed the gun at employees, the second suspect shattered the glass and placed multiple items of jewelry into a duffel bag. Police said he was wearing gloves.
Both suspects fled the store on foot.
The suspect with the gun is described as a black male with a ponytail, 20 to 25 years old, 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall, and 160 pounds to 180 pounds. He was wearing sunglasses, an orange long-sleeve shirt with writing on it, black pants and a white surgical mask.
The other suspect is described as a black male, 20 to 25 years old, 5 feet 9 inches tall, and 180 pounds. He was wearing a gray baggy shirt, black baggy shorts, white shoes, a baby-blue baseball cap and carrying a duffel bag.
The value of the various items of jewelry that were taken is unknown.
