I was in Sinagpore at the same time as some major military trade show. Every major hotel had some fit looking guys lounging outside in casual clothes with sports bags over their shoulders. At the same time a couple of Merc SUVs with some more fit looking guys were idling in the drop-off zone.
It was pretty obvious they weren't planning a late game of tennis.

Singapore should be good at counter-piracy. They have the Malacca straits to practise on.
It's a bit surprising you never normally hear about any of the piracy acts there.

I hope the Singaporean navy applies the common law of the sea towards anyone participating in pirate activity. Immediate execution is the only way to suppress participation in piracy. To keep the liberal crybabies from complaining and trying to justify piracy,don't make press releases when pirates are sent to Davy Jones locker
