United States of America: How Much Longer Do We Have Left?

How long does the USA have? America’s clock is Tick, tick, ticking…



How long America?


How much longer does the United States have? How many bad
decisions--cultural, societal and civilization-wide--before the
nation's clock runs out of time?

For those readers who think that the USA is a special case: No
civilization, no nation, no empire is immune to the consequences of its
decisions. Sooner or later, they’ll catch up.
How long until the accumulated bad decisions of America’s ruling
elites, celebrity culture and educational missteps finally trip the
country? The USA has not only raised a few generations that are used to
ignoring God: it has raised one generation that openly mocks him.
There are a few generations of American school children who think–due
to the constant drone of “self-esteem” educational gurus–that they are
whip-smart, when in fact they are little more than dunces with enough
specialized knowledge to barely survive in any environment outside of
the corrupt cocoon the USA has become.
America has become so shaky, most of its residents don’t even see the
magnitude of the trouble the nation is in. The usual reaction: they
stick their head back in the sand and mutter something about “Things
will get better. Let’s watch NASCAR!”
The combined mismanagement of the economy will surely catch up one
day soon. It will become very apparent to the many hooked on reality TV
that the real reality is that their government has printed a very large
amount of green slips of paper, called them “dollars,” and that they
are worthless. The country’s leaders have been busy stealing everything
that isn’t nailed down. But this doesn’t really matter to many–as long
as the checks Washington sends to nearly half the country are still
able to be cashed.
One imagines that it will be hard for Americans to keep their heads
in the cultural sand when most will no longer to be able to afford cable
TV or a trip to watch the latest celluloid creations at the movie
palaces.



How much longer does America have?


The demise will be swift, sudden and surprising. When giving
presentations to various groups, this assessment sometimes is met with
the cry of “defeatist!” My answer? Where were those criers 30 years
ago? America made PLENTY of bad decisions over the last 50 years.
Where were they when the slide down the slippery slope of history began?
It’s only when those bad leaders and choices affect someone personally
that they get into the battle to ensure good government.
That’s usually too late. So don’t kill the messenger.


So: how much longer does America have? Many are predicting
gloom-and-doom because of upcoming, specialized economic events, both
real and imagined. This writer isn’t much more optimistic, but for
another completely different reason.
At some point, in the very near future, the decades of America’s poor
choices will catch up with her. Poor choices sometimes; more often,
they were deliberately-planned bad policies. Don’t blame the leaders: a
country gets the leaders it deserves. A better population would have
demanded better leaders. Only in 2012 America would the choice for
president come down to Barack Obama–a failed product out of Campaign
Central–and Mitt Romney, a man whose record would have driven him from
politics long ago in a country with better values.
How long does America have?
