I would hardly say that they were used as a barricade. If anything those dead Iraqis were making a barrier to stop the US from progressing any further and killed themselves either by fire or suicide bomb, but there isn't a single bullet hole in any vehicle and these vehicles would be many pieces had they been hit my a rocket or tank round.
