A guy I worked with had that happen to his arm, but it was around his Bicep. He went from a normal dude with normal to small biceps to looking like HULK HOGAN, in about a week, and just as purple as this guy. My coworkers was caused when he went to lift a 50lb chunk of steel in the shop, he heard something go, "POP". About a week later his arm looked a lot like this, his fingers too.
