Why are these taliban fucktards engaging from such far distances? The Us forces have significant advanatges at longer ranges including air and artillery assets. Why dont they take a page from the vietnamees? Get as close to the enemy as possible to neutralize it's air and artillery assets. the Us wont bomb their own troops. Close down to a 100 meter if possible or closer. damn. Just pointing it out btw God bless and kick some arab ass.

My take on it is, given the terrain they are fighting in it's a lot easier to sneak up on someone when you have jungle cover versus trying to sneak up in them from an open field or on the side of a mountain. Mainly you are more exposed in Afganistan if you try a frontal assault. Where Afghanistan has an advantage is the mountains provide the cover that the forest provided for the Viet Cong but they are not as densely situated as trees would be, so even that advantage has it's limitat More..
