(January 17th, 2012) A dad returns from deployment in Afghanistan. He walks in as his daughters unwrap a late Christmas present. Below is a statement from the sister on her upload.
"My brother-in-law, Ryan, came home for a few weeks of R&R after
fighting for us all in Afghanistan since June. His two daughters didn't
know he was coming home, and were surprised with the best (slightly
late) Christmas present ever."
My respects to this soldier and all who have served. Unfortunately this was a temporary leave and he has to return too Afghanistan. Thanks for everything guys, come back home safe. From time to time i upload "new" military homecomings it's nice to get a break from the daily violence. Enjoy folks.

I love these videos. My hat is off to all of those that serve their country. They can never get the full respect that they deserve.

I recently had a very similar experience myself, having not seen my 6 year old daughter for 5 weeks due to her being overseas, it was priceless when she walked through the door at the airport, she took 1 look at me and screamed "DADDY' at the top of her lungs then ran pass all the other passengers to fly up into my arms and hugged me to death... something i will never forget.
