  • There are good things and bad things in Cuba. Mostly bad. This embargo must stay because Communists are the type that if you give them a penny today theyll expect a dollar tomorrow and a hundred bill the next week. Look at North Korea, its nearly the same political model as Cuba and look at what a freakish country that is.     • I'd say it makes a perfect point, and yes, the embargo should have been lifted long ago. Communist China has been on our "Most Favored Nations" list for years, and 3/4 of all products sold in the U.S. are from there, yet, in 2010, an American citizen cannot travel to Cuba or buy any of their products. Time to move ahead.

    • Change in China has been happening in a big way over the last 20 years. The younger generations there are that much closer to casting off the shackles of communism. A lot of that is because of the trade and communication we have had with them.

      Other than depriving people in Cuba of their basic needs and keeping them in a state of poverty what has the embargo done?
