Very nice. Im a fly fisherman who believes in catch and release 99% of the time. Very big trout! Beautiful fish! Im shocked that as big as that trout is, the small kype on it. wow!

@tat2d I posted a comment about when a human hand touches a trout, the salt in hand will eat through the slime(slime protects them from bacteria) once you touch the trout too much, it will die from bacteria, better to use a un-barbed hook and try to unhook it while it is in water, by holding hook/string, or wear rubber gloves, I trout fish also, and thats what i do, i never keep them, Just some advice from one catch n releaser to another

@ILLHERBS I agree that the slime protects the fish but your assertion that the fish will die is a bit dramatic. there are many trout streams in which the fish have been caught, handled and released 10's, if not hundreds of times over. by your logic, they should all be dead. theyre not. the answer lies in the over-all health of the fish, not the slime per se. Im glad you practice catch and release, I do as well. tight lines.

@ILLHERBS I know about the slime. Many of the streams in Tenn only allow non-barbed hooks. Makes the fight that much harder to catch them. My net is on my back with a re-tractor and I have hemostats on a re-tractor as well. If I am fishing some streams for "dinner" I carry my creel. Otherwise if is simply for fun. BTW, I tie ALL my own lures for all fish. I enjoy it very much.

Trout have a slimey coating on them to protect them from bacteria, when a human hand touches it, the salt's on the hand will eat through the slime over time and eventauly the fish will die from bacteria, This guy got his hands all over it, even if he let it go, that monster/breeder would die, shame.

@ILLHERBS
As long as your hands are wet, there's minimal transfer of salt to the fish. Handled lightly from underneath and for a short period (enough for a photo or two), they do fine.
