Balloon Boy Parents Get Jail But Not Enough-90 Days For Dick
Richard Heene has been sentenced to 4 years "supervised probation" and a 90 day jail term while Mayumi Heene was sentenced to a 20 day jail term for misreporting to authorities.The old showbiz line about never working with kids or animals rings true after the aptly named Falcon Heene split the beans with Wolf Blitzer.He also asked "who the hell is Wolf?".Richard and Mayumi may be a father and mother but will never ever be PARENTS! Remove these children before the substance abusing Richard,who cannot make it down 3 steps without stumbling,scars them further either physically or mentally.What a massive waste of TAXPAYERS money and the HEENE'S need to pay ever cent back.That cost millions and Dick was happy to try and cash in on-ALCO-CREEP!

Although I completely respect your comments, especially regarding orwell; this situation in my opinion has little to do with the "media elite".
Honestly, a child who "accidentally" got stuck into a home made balloon and began floating around at 4,000 feet is news.
The parents should be fined, that's about it, in my opinion. They did something ridiculously stupid, but they still must be able to raise their children.

If that little attention whoring stunt had cost somebody there own life, because of the emergency crews working on the balloon chase, I would have thrown those two low life, sorry sad ass excuse for parents, in jail for life.

I don't think "conviction" or "jail time" (at least is this small of a dose) is really going to make any difference for their future action.
The conviction should have included making them pay, generously and in error of overcompensating the state and city services, for all the personnel, time and materials that got diverted to their intentional crap.
People with /real/ need for these services were delayed or denied due to the farce being played by these two. The appro More..
