Mardi Gras parades started last weekend in Slidell, Louisiana. It was a nice day today so we thought we'd catch a parade. The parades in Slidell are very family-oriented - nothing like in New Orleans, where it's very crowded and pushy. Here it's much more laid back and small-townish.
