I used to have a pit bull X when I was a kid that I taught to flop over on his back and play dead after I would point my finger at him and say "BANG!" But I never could figure out how he knew to close his eyes and let his tongue hang out. I was about to write that he was the smartest dog that I ever owned, but no, I didn't own him, he was simply my buddy.
