  • Gee, he's on the youtube roll.

And the video starts with the 1st Louisiana Native Guard 1861. Heres a bit more about them.

The 1st Louisiana Native Guard (CSA) was a Confederate Louisiana militia of "free persons of color" formed in 1861[1] in New Orleans, Louisiana. It was disbanded in February 1862; some of the members joined the Union Army's 1st Louisiana Native Guard regiment (later the 73rd Regiment Infantry U.S. Colored Troops)...André Cailloux, who later became a hero of th More..

    • @The angry misanthropist I think 3 of my uploads are from youtube. One was a joke video, another I couldnt get dl'f for some reason. But I dont click old youtube videos, then load them, then click another, load it, and repeat over and over.

And yes, keep pretending blacks were lining up to serve the CSA, it's amusing and we enjoy a good chuckle.

Sure. And, of course, the "evil" liberals have it all wrong, the confederates were all for the liberation of the slaves, they actually treated the blacks better than the "devil" liberals. They wanted to free them, but the evil libs refused. And, hell, they were pioneers in fighting against segregation in the Army.

The segregation and racism in the USA is a big lie.

Thanks for clarifying it it to me, Mr. Revisionist.

  • Don't forget Simon Baruch, famous Jewish doctor who served as a Confederate officer.
Thanks for this video. It's always great when monolithic misconceptions are shattered. Voted.

  • "Several African Americans are known to have participated in some capacity on the Southern side in the Battle of Gettysburg. After the battle in July 1863, "reported among the rebel prisoners were seven blacks in Confederate uniforms fully armed as soldiers.""

  • Those shoes were so shiny.

This shows how phony the argument is regarding the 'stars and bars' as being a racist symbol.

  • The Confederates were traitors.

The First Louisiana Guard was a scandal to all Confederates outside of Creole country. They were disbanded early on and black troops were outlawed until late in the war when the rebels became desperate.

The slave trader, Nathan Bedford Forrest, murdered more blacks at Fort Pillow than he ever used as wagon drivers. He became a terrorist after the War. He developed chronic dysentery and eventually shitted himself to a better death than he deserved.

  • It is pretty well known that blacks and other minorities fought for both sides of the war. Good video though.

  • LOL, of course you know those are "Freddie's" sitting next to the soldiers, children toys that grew up with the soldier. The others where broken up and outlawed and later recalled for support use.

  • I don't think a lot of people today realize this country wasn't first formed then divided into 13 states. Thirteen states (colonies) seeking independence from Britain voluntarily joined together in an alliance to form one country with a limited federal government.

  • Reminds me of that absurd scene in 'the patriot' where the blacks are free under the colonials and supportive of the rebel cause...yeah right Lol, it seems Hollywood will go to any lengths to try and make the US populace feel good about itself

    • @ElegantDecline There were free blacks, and even blacks who owned slaves, and not just black slaves.

    • @dog64 Sure, under the colonial authorities that was common, and of course we know that slavery would have been banned within several years of the Revolution if it had failed...hard luck for the blacks that the US became independent and the South deepenend its slavery habits as a result

    • @ElegantDecline It was a bad thing for sure, and we weren't the only ones doing it. It really was a whole lot more complicated than it's been portrayed though.
