Death of the Joker

Found this in my travels. Enhanced it some. Made a short introduction.

Arguably one of the best Jokers I've ever seen.

  • I ponder if you include Mark Hamill's voice for the Arkham games.

It's a three way for me....

    1) Heath.... I'm sorry, but he was the best adaptation for me.
    2. Mark Hamill.... Fuck it, I grew up with the animated series more than I did with the comic.
    3. Jack.

  • Heath Ledger played the part to perfection - truly the scariest and darkest Joker in the pack

  • Heath Ledger redefined the Joker to be a credible crazy villain. The writing was damned good too. I thought Jack Nicholson did a great job until I saw Ledger. Now Nicholson's performance looks ridiculous, but it was better than Cesar Romero who wouldn't even shave his tash for the part.

Please understand the difference between acting and producing. Nicholson was SUPPOSED to be colorful to the point of garish. It was the antithesis of the dark, morose Batman. Ledger was just Batman in makeup.

    • @goofier Dude...it was a fucking TIM BURTON movie....EVERYTHING IS COLORFULL in a Tim Burton movie.

Batman wasn't. He was a brooding, obsessed character that couldn't get past his own hangups enough to have a personal life worth more than a one-night stand. Until the Joker came along.

  • Heath Ledger's Joker won't be touched by any actor around today.

  • heath ledger all the way for me.he played the part brilliantly!

  • I'll stick with Cesar because I prefer the pure camp Batman over the movies. I'd also pick Frank Gorsham over Jim Carrey as the Riddler any day.

  • yeah this is bad. High school play?

    • @xittix Crappy acting, crappy music, poor writing, poor production standards, poor dialog and they just don't get Batman with him strangling the Joker. The only competent component was the editing, and maybe the cinematography.

  • For me Heath Ledger will be the best Joker forever because I don't really like villains who are "funny" like this one above. But Ledger created a Joker who is dark, mysterious and the pure evil.

  • one of the most colorful villains of all-time. ledger's portrayal, however, is the ultimate...and i was not a ledger fan

  • Desperate B-list attempt to make a splash. Fell utterly flat. Shit overacting even for the joker.

  • Heath Ledger did absolutely NOTHING for the part that Jack Nicholson didn't.
Take a second look, compare them side-by-side. It was almost exactly the same scenes except for the hospital. Not to mention the fact that Nicholson was at least smart enough to live.

Fucking Heath Ledger fanbois. Get over it. He wasn't all that, not even close, and now he's dead.

    • @goofier i hated ledger, never liked a single thing he did, until the joker. ledgers joker was actually a bit frightening, more like a common thug, as well

    • @Bashman
Well there you go, The Joker is now more like a common thug. Well done, Heath. You've taken one of the most iconic criminals in comic book history, and made him... Average.
