Olbermann Apologizes for Racist Remark about Black Multiple Sclerosis Victim

Keith Olbermann apologized to Houston news anchor Melanie Lawson Wednesday night on "Countdown," just one day after airing an embarrassing clip that showed Lawson falling out of her chair during a live broadcast.

The reason for Olbermann's apology? It turns out that Lawson has multiple sclerosis, which might help to explain the incident. According to a mutual friend of both the MSNBC host and the anchor, Lawson has used a cane for years.

  • The apology link was kind of weird. It was on HuffPo and they were mostly concernig with saying "Look! Olbermann apologized but Fox didn't".

    Childish posturing.

  • I'm lost. What remark?

    • He didn't make any remark, let alone a racist one. That's just our boy Songun trolling for controversy.

He simply showed what he thought was a funny clip and everyone had a laugh until it turned out she has MS. FoxNews did the same thing.

    • Oh, I get it! He was making the point that Obermann would have immediately jumped on a conservative who made fun of this video as a racist.

    • Thanks.

My point is that the liberals jump on any opportunity to call something racist and my attitude is that if it's good for the goose then it's good for the gander.

The 5 or 6 Olbermann viewers drink his swill every night when he accuses people of being racists only because they reject the Democrats socialist lies.

Why not give them a dose of their own medicine?

    • laugh at who you want but since you asked ... i'd reserve laughter for olbermann .. at least until Armourer_SS1987 has his own news show watched by millions.

    • You're right! I will laugh at Olbermann and just giggle at David Haselhoff a.k.a Armourer_SS1987. There, settled.

  • That's the best keith can do, he just doesn't know
any better. The good thing is that probably no more
than a few thousand people in the whole damn country
saw the show. If you apologize to someone, and no one
    hears does it count?

  • Olbermann is a complete douchebag, but MS doesn't affect your brain. If you have a physical handicap like that...and you are stupid enough to stretch out like that...on live TV no less...and you fall down...that's damn funny. Accidents are one thing...doing dumb things and reaping the repercussions is another.
