Scout Sniper Platoon Practices Defending Ship From Small Boat Attack With Sniper Fire 
Marines assigned to Scout Sniper Platoon, Battalion Landing Team (BLT)
3/2, 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), and Sailors assigned to the
USS Kearsarge (LHD 3), conduct a live-fire exercise while at sea, to
practice defending the ship against small boat attacks, Feb. 10, 2013.
The 26th MEU is conducting Composite Training Unit Exercise, the final
phase of a six-month pre-deployment training program. The 26th MEU
operates continuously across the globe, providing the president and
unified combatant commanders with a forward-deployed, sea-based quick
reaction force. The MEU is a Marine Air-Ground Task Force capable of
conducting amphibious operations, crisis response and limited
contingency operations.

Missed. Now having it going full tilt and not broadside on. Somewhere out there is a us navy proving that even phalanx has little effect on a low in the water rib. 5 inch air burst shells finished in with almost their first round.

@chrispeters that is exactly whay they are training , the waves make the boat come in and out of sight ...my guess is the boat is over 1000 yards, most of us would not be able to see the boat , let alone shoot at it and hit it...

when i see military people i see people that couldnt find a job doing anything else and they fell back on their last opportunity the military doesnt turn people away unless they are absolutely retarded , theyll work with fat people put them on training programs ect. its a sad existance and i feel bad for every 1 of the sheep that do what their told every day of their pitiful lives. have fun with ur 60k a year and risking ur lives for nothing.
