  • The kid makes between 1000-1500 Afghans (equal to $20-30USD), but a dang ice cream costs 5 Afghans?! Ok...so maybe things aren't as dire as some may think, given his representative monetary context of how much an ice cream treat costs compared to their daily wage. Based on that formula, if an ice cream here costs 75-cents, to earn the same ratio of income:expenditure as this kid, I would have to make $150-$225 a day USD. This is pure math. What do you think?

    • @ElegantDecline i was thinking the same thing. I made about that ever other week when I was his age. Granted, I didn't pay for my family, but For that area of the world, should be pretty good return for them.

  • Nice insight on everyday Afghani life. It was hilarious at the end after they showed all the meatheads working out with the free weights you had the average guy just going to town on the squeaky mechanical weights lol

  • Wow, any more of this and people on this website may have to concede that Afghanis are not Arabs. Read a book.

"afghans", afghani is our currency lol. very common mistake though! And in a way some afghans are Arabs because the Arabs came with other muslim allies to spread Islam in Afghanistan, also there are "Sayeds" in Afghanistan like me. "sayed" means you have a bloodline to the prophet Mohammad, And you can find them in almost every Muslim country. When you are a Sayed everyone kisses your ass and tries to make you feel special, sometimes its annoying sometimes More..

  • Talking about rebuilding their country as if it was ever built up to start with? I've never heard that. I'm looking forward to Part III with the babes filming.

It's actually really fun if your into living on the edge. I lived in Seattle, Washington for 11 years and been living here in Kabul for 10 Years, huge difference but once you get used to it you can see the beauty in small things and build a more human type nature if that makes sense. When i look back at my life in Seattle i think man i was seriously just a product of society and anything i did there was someone profiting off my situation. I feel more free here even though it is more More..

    • @Afghan_American1990 haha man i understand. in america you feel like a pawn in the corporate chess game you know? you're just another buyer and seller; a profit piece but i would think living in afghanistan would be pretty crazy with it being a massive war zone. you should see life in california though... crazy lol
