A cameraman is shot in the head and shoulder while filming in the protest camp in the Yemeni capital Sanaa. His comrade takes the camera after he falls and continues filming him. He died later that day despite attempts to revive him in hospital.

The cameraman is Hussein AlWathafi, a Yemeni working for a Saudi newschannel. He was shot by snipers from the loyalist Republican Guard headed by the president's son dotting the rooftops in the city. Sanaa is gripped by anti-government protests demanding change in the regime due to massive corruption and abuse of power, the president has been serving 34 years.
