This whole set-up doesn't work because evil Dave is supposed to sound like Letterman just naturally, so obviously he is doing an impression of Letterman unlike what Stern stated. This is just dumb.

He used to sound exactly like Letterman. I guess they talk to him frequently enough that they didn't notice his voice changed.
