Cirque du Soliel Performer Throws Out Opening Pitch (V
When an opening pitch earns a spot on the nightly highlight package, nine times out of ten it is for all the wrong reasons. But when we are treated to that other one-out-of-ten, it can be quite remarkable. Take last night’s game between the Kansas City Royals and the San Diego Padres at Petco Park, for instance. The Padres invited a performer from Cirque du Soliel to throw out the opening pitch, and not only did he deliver a strike, but he added some sort of crazy back-side flip(?) to it (if you know what it is really called, please share).
