Tanning booths should be banned. They are cosmetic only and have serious (and I mean serious) health effects. Many people die from cancer. Many more people get skin diseases and non lethal cancers. All get prematurely aged skin.
I point out however that I get medical full body narrow band UV treatment 3 days a week. I don't tan, my skin stays normal, and my immune system gets a good kick. This is quite distinct to normal tanning booths.
