Brief aerial view of NE Japan's new coastline
Along parts of the coast, the water is not receding. Either the tsunami gouged basins out of the soft farmland, or the earthquake caused the actual coast to slump below the waterline. Number on the screen refer to the tally of dead and missing, now numbering a combined 19,000.
