  • He wasn't asked by police to do anything. He was advised by a 9/11 operator over the phone.       In Canada if I killed someone that planned to kill me I would be charge for second degree murder even though the suspect enter my house with a weapon with intent.Even if he didnt die he would sue me for excessive force and in Canada %99.9 he would win.

    • @JihadKiller1s1k And I highly doubt Trayvon attacked Zimmerman first. The evidence shows Zimmerman had indicated he was essentially pursuing Trayvon just prior to the altercation. Either way, our differing assessments are exactly why this needs to go to trial.

    • @picklethepug Even if Treyvon was being pursued it is no reason for violent retaliation by Treyvon. Zimmerman had the right to pursue but no more. If Treyvon did turn the situation into a physical confrontation then Treyvon is culpable. Treyvon was not that little 14 year old you saw in pictures, he was 6+ feet when this occurred.

  • the police said something like "we don't need you to follow him".. That is different than "DO NOT FOLLOW THE SUSPECT"..

    It's a free country.. If I see a suspicious person walking down the street, I can follow them and ASK them what they are doing and ASK them to wait with me for the cops to show up with the expectation that I will NOT be attacked as a result. If the kid didn’t want to stop he is free to ignore Zimmerman and continue on his way home.
