Paktia (BNA) Reports indicate that during the national army military
operations in Paktika thirty three insurgents were killed.
General Zemarai commander of 203 Thunder army corps of Paktika said
that the operation had started in the beginning of New Year 1391 along
with other Afghan forces that ended yesterday.
According to him, 33 armed Taliban were killed in different districts
of the province and five others were arrested and a considerable
quantity of different types of arms was seized from them.
Among those killed were many Pakistanis who while crossing the Durand Line were targeted and killed.
General Zemarai added that the national army also foiled 13 mines and
no civilians were harmed during the operation and that the operation was
supported by the air forces of the international forces.
