He was in a relationship with the guy he killed.
Allegedly.
Dahmer was picking up strangers and killing them in an attempt to form a relationship.
Dahmer was an introvert with low self esteem.
This guy was an extrovert, exhibitionist with an inordinately high sense of self esteem.
A narcissist.
Th only commonality I see is they both desired control and they both lacked the ability to feel empathy.

I think your points might be valid if you were trying to profile him, but that was not my comment intent. My comment intent was the manner in which the killer used.
In my over 20 years of working homicides, I always found it interesting about how different social groups killed their victims.I stayed away from profiling because for the most part, it's a mix of hokum and pyscho babble that invariably sent us a beat detectives on wild ass goose chases. @Fire37Rescue I am guessing that women are far more likely to commit murder with a blade as opposed to a gun or bludgeoning instrument.
A lot of gay men identify in large or small part with women.
I have no facts or links to back that up but it seems I hear of that more.
I respect your years of experience but if anything, I would think that would lead you away from making sweeping generalizations.

@eeep I actually found the vid not that disturbing.
Does that mean I am disturbed??????
In the version I saw the actual murder was not filmed.
The 3 Russians with the hammer and screw driver, that disturbed me as did some of the other Russian murder vids on homeless people.
The chainsaw beheading and the very first beheading vid I saw also disturbed me.
I just don't think this was was up there in the disturbing category.
Maybe I am jaded but I think it is the actual dying that disturbs me.
