Any private farm ponds around there? I fish them for the bluegills and the owners are more then happy to have you thin down the B'gill population.

    • @-sloop- Yes i have fished a few ponds here. I just pulled over and fished from the road. Sometimes i would get lucky and get some fatties. As far as private ponds no, its always kinda hard to tell around here who owns what. I have fished cranberry marshes for pike, that was fun. There is alot of ponds around that you probably have to walk a couple blocks through marshes with waders on to get to them. Pain in the ass but there is probably some hog panfish in them. But yea ill keep that in mind, More..

    • @qwerty4242 Oh wow, i forgot to edit that part out lol. No tropicals here, just freshwater fish. I try for sunfish or bluegills usually, then cast for bass and northern pike with another pole.

  • Is it me or is most fishing lure fishing? You mentioned bass and pike both are live bait or lure caught fish.I fish myself freshwater,we fish for carp, tench, roach, perch, bream. In the main we us maggots, worm, and special produced baits such as boilies for carp, hemp for roach, caster ect ect.Infact anglers in europe would be carrying hundreds, if not thousands of pounds worth of of tackle.Everything in the states seems to be rod reel lure and off you go!Is this the case with most anglers?Or do you h More..

    • @drivenwell2 Well if you were to watch TV here on a fishing channel, you would think everything is lure fishing but its not. People here fish with lures or baits. I use one pole with worms so i can leave it sit while i cast with another. I also use leeches instead of worms. I sometimes will use minnows for crappies and perch. Myself i use lures most the time for bass and pike, or any other larger fish. I myself don't use much tackle. All i need is a few lures that i can select from for deep, sha More..

  • Man I had a big patch of those growing behind my house, use to go out in the morning to walk my dogs and get breakfast. Nice to see them again.

  • Reminds me of a huge stash of those along my paper route as a kid. I always pedaled my bike as fast as I could dropped all the papers, went all the way to end of my route, which ended with this huge as hill. The hardest part was pedaling my bike back up that hill. So then I stopped and treated my self to the berries right off the bush before I got home. Nice!!
