This is a typical song by a group of Colombian "campesinos" singing about injustice and how people don't revolt when their stomach is full.
What makes this music interesting and exciting is that so many different rhythms come together: if you listen to one instrument at a time, the bass for instance, it sounds very simple, almost boring, but when played against the rest of these guitars and percussions, you wonder how the bass player can keep time and not stumble because the way the different parts mesh together is very tricky, there are syncopations and compound rhythms. Yet those ignorant peasants have been playing this kind of music by ear for centuries.Try each intrument in turn, you'll be surprised they play the same tune.
Well it may not be "your" kind of music but give it a try out of curiosity, at least it's happy sounding music.
