I'm sure islam really could be a religion of "peace and compassion".. They are supposed to believe in the same god as the Jews and Christians.
BUT,
these people have been living in the f---ing desert for thousands of years - i know its not all desert, but man, theres a lot of SAND lol. Most of the stuff in Islam comes from Cultural Traditions and the problem with these people is that they are stuck in the past. I can see Islam being exactly the way Christianity WAS, let me say again WAS, back in the Dark and Middle- Ages. You know,...crusades and heretic days lol.
IF you meet a muslim from Islamabad, Pakistan, he'll probably be educated and westernized and moderate.
But all the ones from ..small-villages or from poor background, there in lies the problem, they are willing to believe whatever their IMAM's tell them..
What islam needs are some Imam's who fill their sermon with Love and Compassion...not Fear and Hatred
