Pakistan and Afghanistan are incredibly beautiful places. The hospitality and warmth of these poor but simple and brave mountain people is renowned. (Unless you are carrying a gun trying to impose on them).
Sadly today this place is in the news for all the bad reasons.

Unfortunately it is, and it is because of the Muslim peoples there. Pakistan itself is a very beautiful country as shown in this video.
I hope (but I doubt) that one day Pakistan and Afghanistan can be peaceful and allow people to come and see their country, smoke their hashish and climb their mountains without fear of death.

Wow, spectacular. I got a parrot drone which I modded to take a go pro hd2 (http://ardrone2.parrot.com/). Obviously not quite as stable etc, but software stabilisation is getting so good nowadays you can do some AMAZING things with it. Have taken some awesome shots of friends and I climbing Scottish mountains and also some aerial views of kayaking :D.
