UNCDF: Local Development in Mozambique
Widespread poverty and a lack of functioning infrastructure present formidable challenges to Mozambique on its path to sustainable development.
The country emerged from nearly 500 years of colonial rule and plunged straight into a devastating civil war that debilitated much of the infrastructure and undermined development efforts.
This short video presents an overview of the UN Capital Development Fund's work to support development efforts in Mozambique, working from the bottom up and top down to empower local authorities to make their own decisions and set their own priorities.
