It sickens me to see the comments on LL, in where people are saying horrible things about the service men and women, you should support your soldiers no matter what, it's not their fault the war happened, take your grudge out on the government, not the soldiers! To the people who are saying that they joined an illegal war, the many of the soldiers were in the army before the war started, so had to complete their required service time, before they could leave!

@Hawko_OZ I think it depends on the woman. I had 3 women serve in my combat battalion. One could not hump for 10 minutes without taking a break. 1 could not put her flak vest on without someone helping her. And the other NOBODY could keep up with her. So there are SOME women who can do jobs really well but there are THOUSANDS of women who cant.
If you are even going to consider having women in a combat environment you MUST make the PFT the same as the men.

I am sorry but I have a problem with Lt. Halfaker. She say’s “I wanted to lead soldiers in combat I wanted that experience”. Well the fact of the matter is this: the standards had to be lowered for you to even become a Military Officer. Every aspect of physical training had to be lowered just so you could feel better about yourself.

what the media doesnt show is almost 25000 troops that fought in the Gulf War I and II coming home need medical treatment every week and another 40000 shows signs of PTSD...over 2500 committed suicide or attempt too and still many more still isnt able to adapt to normal life.Its great to show patriotism but you must also take care of those who fought for the flag...how many senators kids actually are fighting on the front lines?...probably zero....
