Low Level Napalm Attack (Vietnam)

Video shows what appears to be a low-level napalm attack on random vietnamese dwellings. I wonder if the pilot got a medal?

  • Wow, this has to be one of the least informed comments threads I have seen here.

The original video contains no information other then a bombing run on a collection of huts. That's it. No information about the intended or actual targets.

speaking of heroin , in America before the Vietnam war heroin use was virtually nil, it is estimated upwards of 300,000 returning soldiers were addicted when they came home."

There were no "military" targets in South Vietnam. The vietcong was not a military branch. They were a civilian militia made up of north and south vietnamese. As a result, countless civilians were killed along with the minority who were actual vietcong because they were hard to identify. The More..

Medal? He should have been tried, along with his commanding officer, for war crimes against civilians. A lot of criminals came back to our country and suffered because many still had a conscience and realized what they did."
YEAH, I WAS TRYING TO EXPLAIN TO SOME NEOCON EARLIER EVERY SOLDIER SHOULD QUESTION WHAT HE OR SHE DOES ON THE BATTLE More..

you know starting out with hmm, seems, well maybe, could be... just tells me that you really dont know jack shit there buddy. I have learned by common sense that if a person doesnt know what the hell he is talking about that he should just shut the fuck up then. Maybe you should take this advice. You werent there and you dont know anything about this vid, at least it seems to me that way. And yes, I hope he got tons of medals. Good vid though."
    & More..
You know, America catches a disproportional amount of flak for it's war time antics then compared with other countries.

For example, after Poland, the Netherlands had the highest rate of its Jews killed during WW2. They happily shipped em off, but you won't hear about that will you?"
I don't care if it's the American military or any other military committing a war crime -- it's still an atrocity and should be dealt with accordingly. That I focus on America it is because this is my country and those criminals in their planes represent me whenever they kill people that aren't combatants."
yeah let's berate "our side" for not following the rules, everyone else do as you like. We should try, convict and sentence the pilot for dropping those bombs, but lets not worry about the VC that tortured American troops in unimaginable ways. Let's let KARMA handle that.

use against civilian populations was banned by the United Nations

MEANING its banned in INTENTIONAL USE against civilians hello shooting mortars at civilians is banned

Napalm was used on civilians in Vietnam, so its good to know that it is banned from being used on civilians. Of course, thats if countries actually follow the rules.

America had no business being there? Take it up with the French and the Chinese, if you really want to lay blame for the origins of the Vietnam War. The
fighting was going on a long time before the United States came on the scene.
