As I recall, "terrier" comes from Latin "terra" (earth).
JRTs were bred to dig animals out of the ground, so that's why he likes to dig up rocks.

Terriers are the best breed.
Im biased of course. (weve had Westys, Jacks, and currently have a Dandie Dinmont)
This one displays all the proper characteristics, playfulness, suicidal bravery and just great personality.

My favourite of all (the smaller) dogs.
I just love working dogs and the Jack
(or Parson) Russell can be a smart one.
Rocky actually looks rather Parson like.
(Parsons were bred longer in the leg to
keep up with the horses while on a hunt)

Those little guys are wonderfully, fully charged. Wish I wasn't too old to have one. But, encouraging one to take food out of your mouth is uncool.

He also gets paid for helping me do chores.
