Dad's Garden Vid plus a bodge
 Part of channel(s): Yoursay (promoted)

I enjoyed watching your bodge vids, sorry I was to busy to add one, I've got a few, this is a tiny one, but a bodge none the less, and it's on top of my garden vid. I tilled in some manure at the end of last year, should have tilled in some more this spring. I was trying to take it light because this is only the 3rd year that I've had a garden on this property, I always did it at another property before, but I'm sick of traveling back and forth, loading the tractor, unloading the tractor because I get too busy doing everyone else and mine always is last, so I've been slowly trying to move everything down here, to make it easier, I think, hahaha, not sure, seemed like less stones up there. There was more rocks, but they where bigger and not such a PITA......I think, six of one, half dozen of the other is probably more like it, couple of years and this will be good too.

    • @marinemom Thanks MM, your not the only one that's chuckled at that, it actually works pretty good when I go up on top of the noggin and shoot vid down the valleys, I wasn't counting on the black ring with out it on.

I'll have to take some that I can share on here, I did that to take some stock vid for....well, I guess I really can't say the name of the company, not that many would recognize it, but that's part of the deal, it was way cheaper than buying a new cam, lol.

Hope all's well with yo More..

    • @SharkGuy I would love to go on a fishin trip with you guys, but I'm a tad farther than you think, I'm 3 hours from Erie. I've jumped off fishing from there a few times w/the brother in law, but he sold his boat.

Maybe if it was timed with an inlaw visit in the future and we're out there already. Would gimme an excuse, lol ;)

  • CDS/fucked dvds on string fucks the birds off and silver pie dishes work good or some pea netting or such they wont go underneath so some sticks and streatch it over

    • @anglosaxonwarlord I've done pie pans and CD's before, they don't give a shit about them anymore than they do the scarecrows, the scarecrows just gives them something else to perch on, lol. I've thought about the netting, even have some that we used to keep birds IN with, (pheasants) miles of it, it's just a lot of work putting it up and working around it. They've actually done all that damage in a week, maybe 10 days.

I'm just going to start killing the watchman bird every morning, they're sma More..

  • Man, I miss gardening. The damn birds were the reason I switched to hot peppers, ginger, horseradish and sweet onions. You can try hanging streamers and pie tins, but I've found it only works for a while and makes your beautiful garden look like fuckin Tijuana. I've heard good things about the motion activated sprinklers - keeps all sorts of pests away, but if it's tripped a lot and you live in a humid/rainy area, you might have to watch for mildews and mold. Nice vid - good luck to you.

    • @tarnoch LOL, I just came in from taking a shot at the watcher bird, he hides behind this branch and all I can see is his tail feathers and head. It's a long shot with a 22 cal pellet gun, but I hit the branch right beside his head and he ducked, then cawed and flew away. I'm shooting close to 80 yds with iron sights, took the scope off, need to go up to the hunting cabin and sight it in at 80 yds.

I've always done better with open sights anyways, better at judging drop, distance, and all of th More..

  • My corn and squash is coming up.I planted a 3 sisters plot, so waiting on the pole beans. So far no crows tho they are around, damned smart birds lol, you won't catch them. I put my tomatoes and bush beans in bags, the lazy way:) I've had random tomatoes come up every year, they produce fruit too so leave 'em. Around the 3 sisters I put newspaper and topped them with peat moss, we'll see how that works out because the weeds are ridiculous here! xxx

    • @BIGLOUBRUNO Right? Ya gotta love it, the more I haul out, the more that appear, think I'm done with that though, think I found a better way, going to do another yoursay about it here real soon.

Thanks, that tractor is my back, I use it for everything, got a backhoe attachment, a tiller attachment, and I'm in the process of bodging up a snowblower that mounts where the bucket does on the front loader.

  • Nice garden! With the tunnel vision, you can use your video editing software to get a black & White or sepia tone and have it looking just like an early silent film.

Does that camcorder film in digital or compact videotape? If it is videotape, how do you convert it to uploadable media?

    • @john1054 Now there's a thought.

It's a digital one john, w/a 30 gig HD, one of the first ones to come out, you can't record with it upside down or anything but straight upright because it fucks up the HD, but I transfer tape to digi all the time, if you need some help, hit me up brother, I'd be more than happy to help.

When I first started making vids on Liveleak, I pulled out my old, high function but obsolete camcorder. I quickly realized the poor thing was incompatible with my laptop. So I use a low functioning, but fully compatible Flip camera instead. I'll pull out the camcorder again and mess with it.
