Open Carry Shotgun Incident
Was burning some time on a walk in
Washington. As usual I was openly carrying my Springfield Armory XD(M)
.40 compact in my Blackhawk level III Serpa duty holster. I had a scary
encounter with a state patrolman named Gibson.Skip to 5:55 for the dialogue.

Here is the deal folks. When people dial 911 and say that there is a guy with a gun, police come. They come quick and alot of them come. Adrenalin dump and all... Is it really a good idea to create this situation in order to have a debate about your 2nd amendment rights?....on the side of the highway?? It's a good way to find out what cops out there who are too quick to pull the trigger... me personally, not worth it.
YES...it's 100% legal to open carry. It's also 100% legal to put hon More..

Idiots like this will always do their damnest to fuck up our Freedoms by pushing the envelope. Way to go chump! Wow! You stood in the street and screamed I have rights!
There’s only one basic human right, the right to do as you damn well please. And with it comes the only basic human duty, the duty to take the consequences.

@RONHELIX Because the only thing keeping you from living in a @#$%hole like the UK, is them guns. Remember, in England if someone breaks into your home and tries to rob you and you hurt or kill them, you go to prison. You see, they don't have a constitution. They only have the Magna Farta. Serf.

@boomboppa " in England if someone breaks into your home and tries to rob you and you hurt or kill them, you go to prison." You might want to check that. It's about as far off as USMC Dude's common sense meter.

I have to side with the cops on this one. I'm all for the right to own and carry guns but If I saw some random walking around the neighborhood with an exposed weapon I'd call the police as well. They are doing their jobs and this guy is being a dick and not complying. I've been stopped by cops, they checked my fire arm, ran my info, saw that I was legit, and in 5 minutes I was free to go with a handshake. No harm in being civil.

Dear dipshit, I carry all the time. I never cause a scene and harrass the police. The Police are not the supreme court justices of the United States. You are lucky you didnt get your ass handed to you. These cops dont know you. They have to deal with the worst dirtbags in society every day. You might say they get a little skidish when arguing with a guy with a loaded gun. One in the chamber no less. I would have taken the safe route and taazzzzed your stupis arse and hashed it out later. PS nic More..

Awesome. You see how many times the cops got stuck when he sighted the constitution?
We exist in a total state of legal fiction.
American's know nothing about the law.
I my county they tried to pass a law that gave them the right to come into your home every year and inspect it to see if it was up to city code. That is unconstitutional. The city nor it's agents can come into your home for any such silly notion. I sued, they lost, and the law was repealed. I asked the city councilman if More..

What this guy is doing does not endanger public safety (unless he pulls it out to shoots someone) If he decides to do that, do you think it makes a difference if it's concealed or not?
He's being a dick and he did it for one very obvious reason. Attention and to prove a point. He should have provided the officer with his information and went on his way.

But again, he did nothing wrong.... Neither did the cops in my opinion.
But the anti-American anti-gun freaks posting the comments are way over the edge in my opinion...

@XyBerFuNK I really like guns, I like shooting, I wish I could go out more and do it, but walking around looking for trouble like this bone head serves absolutely no positive purpose.
He is wasting the time of cops who could be doing something more productive, and he's making gun owners look like retarded children. Fuck this fat slob, I hope he gets flesh eating bacteria on his cock.

@Zardoz003 Lol
He was acting a bit childish with it. But none the less, he was exercising, or more rightfully "documenting" one of his liberties..."our" liberties in fact.
Just like the morons on late night tv who act like morons or like 65% of the occutards. Just exercising their rights as citizens.
Btw.. The other 45% of the occutards are breaking the law so they don't count...

You open carry dudes should give the cops some slack. They have a job to do, if they ignore every guy walking around with a gun they cant do their job can they?
Same thing for the cops, if the guy with a gun isnt spouting jiberish or crying about his ex- girlfriend he might just be an open carry fanatic of which theres nothing you can do but get your blood pressure to spike...
