10/24/07 Harris Fire, San Diego County

Covers 00:00 to about 11:30 today, time lapse.

I stitched together some time lapse captures from the HPWREN project (hpwren.ucsd.edu) using their webcams on Lyons Peak which was over run by the fire early this morning. It gets a bit choppy in places, I think the microwave link might have dropped out under heavy smoke in a couple spots.

Luckily, this area is in the middle of a square mile of protected land, thus no homes, but there are others near by. I go hiking near here, can't wait to go check it out when it's cooled off.
