Arizona Governor Brewer one of the World's most influential people


Arizona Governor Jan Brewer has made "Time" Magazine's shortlist of the world's most influential people .

"Time" is allowing readers to vote in an online poll as it considers who to add to it's annual "Time 100" issue.

The magazine says,"Under the leadership of Brewer, Arizona has faced off with the federal government like no other state in recent memory."

It singles out Governor Brewer's championing of SB1070 and that iconic photo of her exchange with President Obama on the tarmac of Mesa Gateway airport.

Amid accusations that the Obama Administration failed to protect Arizona from illegal immigration, Brewer championed a strict legislative crackdown that the Administration will challenge this year in the Supreme Court. Brewer has criticized President Obama for blocking uranium mining near the Grand Canyon and was photographed having an intense exchange with Obama on the tarmac at Phoenix's airport in January.
