A 6 year old girl in China whose body is covered in hair was recently featured by British photo agency Rex Features. Her body is covered in thick black hair covering at least 70 percent of her body, including most of her back, one arm, and the entire side of her face. The girl is suffering from an extremely rare condition called hypertrichosis, or "werewolf syndrome", affecting fewer than 1 in 1 billion people. Her strange appearance proved too much for her parents, who dropped her off at a local nursery as a baby and never returned.The nursery put an ad in the paper, begging relatives to come forward and help. It is reported that a 48 year old grandfather of one of the girl's cousins offered to raise her.
