  • This view is obviously excellent. If excellence for such a thing is the word. Personally, once it started to flip I'd have shuttered the left hydrolics (it's possible, the manufacturer stopped writing the possibility up in their documentation due to legal reasons, but the possibility is there if you're a pilot who knows his equipment), then upon the first touch of runway friction I have boosted the right thrust to performance level .988 (again, a possibility in that aircraft) which would have spun the fuselage at a quick enough rate to separate cleanly from both wings leaving them behind to burn while the fuselage slid a safe distant from the flames. This pretty much was all the pilot had left. I've had to execute this maneuver a couple of times due to violent crosswinds in hellhole backwaters when I was flying low cost routes due to an 'incident' that got me in some trouble with the big carriers. I'm back flying the main routes now.
