The rain and storms of Friday, the 24th of February could not stop
Critical Mass DC! The rain ended just before 6PM, and riders departed
Dupont Circle at about 7PM.
The ride was smaller than usual due to the weather but still took place, on the last Friday of the month as now usual for DC.
With a small crew, the ride had more flexibilty, going to Chinatown, the
waterfront, and the into NE all the way to the Anacostia river before
turning back west on H st.
High winds made the streetcar tracks on H st hazardous, and spread the
ride out on the trip back west into the teeth of the wind.
This sort of wind made the entire trip back comparable to climbing a
substantial hill while sometimes being pushed sideways as well.
