I recently posted a Yoursay
http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=10a_1326940265 with the very simple point that authors who invite comments, shouldn't erase those they don't agree with. At no point did I claim to be against troll blocking and I never even implied that I didn't have anyone on my blocklist. Obviously the point was lost to many.
I am not someone who thinks so highly of themselves that I can't make mistakes, and I am more than willing to admit when I have. Clearly, I made a few mistakes posting this because I did not clear my blocklist to allow everybody to comment at will to my posts. I'll take my knocks for that, and have since corrected it. Furthermore, I don't believe the blocklist is effective at all anyway considering the number of troll accounts that popped on my post comments... which none where erased or blocked.
I stand by my statements about the cowardice that is displayed when an author chooses to erase or block users who post comments contrary to their own. I think people should stand by their posts, comments and opinions using a well thought out forensic approach and intelligent conversation to make their points. If this is too hard for people, maybe they shouldn't be posting their opinion in a why that puts it up to LiveLeaker scrutiny.
This is not a pissing contest. My goal on this website is to receive and pass on information while we are free to do so. I would prefer to have a conversation with someone who is supporting an alternative view as opposed to fight with them. Many of the LiveLeakers seem to want to make enemies and spend countless hours and energy trolling and insulting. There is nothing to gain from such actions. Without the informed and well thought out opinions of others, none of us would be nearly as educated and great points of view would be lost.

- I do not care about my point total so there is no motivation for me to block comments or people who rate anything in whatever why that want.
- If I have insulted, degraded or infuriated anyone, I would like to apologize. Again, my goal is to make friends with different views, not enemies with secrets.
