Tornado Destroys Stadium
Portugal 11/16/2012 - A tornado has hit Portugal's popular holiday hotspot the Algarve, tossing and flipping vehicles - some with people inside - and causing flooding in areas.
Hundreds of people have been left homeless, trees uprooted, balconies, roof tiles and framework ripped off, and windows shattered as the violent winds struck the region.
Eight people were injured and taken to hospital for treatment. Firefighters said most of those injured had to be pulled out of overturned vehicles.

@MAKMAK How true. Unlike the fellow who filmed this? Hell, I was ready to run from my room. No really that just was either brave, or stupid.

Consider the fact that in Europe houses are made from bricks, not paper :)

@BLLAZSER1 We're Europeans, we aren't used to Tornadoes and its dangers. I'm really wondering how and why this thing came from America to Europe! Also, it wasn't as strong.
-Tornado, go home; you're drunk!
-Tornado -What R U Doin'
-Tornado -Stahp!
Although, technically, Portugal is facing America. The drunk tornado somewhere lost its path and visited Europe.

@nuntius_mortis Will the windows withstand a truck tire traveling over 100mph or a chuck of metal at the same speed? It is never safe to stand by a window during a tornado.
Check out the windows of this building:

See, tornadoes in the U.S. actually track where the closest mobile home parks are and hit those. And, we have more F3-F5 tornadoes than any other country in the world.

@nuntius_mortis Or it could be because tornado's that strike in europe are 10 times less lethal than ones in the united states?

LL would like to extend a position as one of their official camera men. Unfortunately it doesn't pay anything and eventually you'll end up filming your own death... but if we've got a deal... welcome aboard!

In Portugal we are not used to have this kind of phenomenon.
But it is appearing increasingly ...
This was filmed by a "kid" of 18 years old who did not measure the danger of the situation.
He was lucky not to be hit by splinters of broken glass as in other houses.
