  • You don't even need to light it. Just use a simple 9 volt alkaline battery and rub it against the strands of steel wool. I've seen it done that way too. - Great post - voted!

  • we use to do it when we were kids... very simple... take steel wool attach it to some kind of string or rope, light it and do what you see on the clip...

    Actually the kid used a couple of brillo pads with the ends of them sandwiched between 2 disks of sandpaper. It looked pretty cool watching them spin after he fired them up and pulled the trigger.
