Playing for Keeps

I was an innocent - not pure as the driven snow, but certainly unwise as to the level of the stakes at which we were playing.

I entered the debate believing it would be an intellectual exercise; we would joust with each More..

  • "we are in the midst of a cultural and ideological war and while Conservatives concern themselves with civility and rules, progressives are playing for keeps"

^this writer is just as guilty of playing the same Left/Right partisan BS that is always taking place in American politics

he could have been very specific and given us names and specific incidents. the entire thing was broadly written. an essay on generalizations, stereotypes, and "why my party is better than your party"

bleah bleah bleah. it gets old

  • I stopped reading when I got to this line:

"I am now seeing clearly: we are in the midst of a cultural and ideological war and while Conservatives concern themselves with civility and rules, progressives are playing for keeps."

Rudeness, false "facts", improper name calling, general idiocy know no particular party.

So, it appears that this writer is doing exactly what he accuses his opponents of doing. Nice try.
