Chicago Fixing its Railway System

The railway lines are son tangled in the Windy City that they call the system "the spaghetti ball".

But this is being fixed. PerhapsMayor Rahm Emanuel, who left the White House to campaig for the municipal election, is a rainmaker?

Let"s hope when things are fixed it will no longer take one day by train to cross the city.

  • Turkey, Iran, and China aren't bogged down with bureaucratic red tape and overvalued union wages. Japan has more government debt per capita than any other country in the world, and don't get me started on Europe.

    • @jaydenfre

The liberals don't seem all that interested either. They'd rather spend money we don't have on welfare handouts, non-related porkulus, foreign aid, and fat cat bureaucrat salaries.

Frankly, I'm glad it's not going anywhere. Just about every project the government gets involved in these days almost invarably results in massive raste, reduncancy, and failure.

  • My nephew just got on with Union Pacific and he has spent days laid over in one of the bad parts of town somewhere in or near Chicago. He was walking from the hotel they put them up in by himself one evening to go get some food and some cops rolled up behind him, actually bumped him with their car, and told him to put his hands up and freeze. He is like "WTF?". They thought he was a gang banger. For one thing he is white. He was in an area where they put the train crews up, and as More..
