I love the beach but there is always something that wants to bite or sting the shit out of you beneath the waves!

I did this once. I person I was with beached a 9 foot lemon shark in the same manner. Some lunatic ran down to the beach crying to LET IT GO, calling us devils, we simply popped the leader. It's easy to do. And walked away, while he petted and rescued the shark. It would have sent him to the hospital and those that knew, knew that.

O'neill wetsuits are now timed to fall apart a couple months after the warranty expires. I was going to switch to Excel but then I heard the same thing.

I grew up fishing this very beach, and diving the 2 wrecks offshore. The bait migrates at around sept.and attracts a lot of sharks. One of the nicest beaches in all the world.

the shark looks like a small sandbar although I did see the blacktips on it's fins.
Reckless to do, pop the leader with a stiff jerk of the line and let it go, otherwise put a 12 inch carving knife through it's spine and keep it for the grill, I'd have let it go. They stink so bad in an hour after a death.

Cut the line dummy. The hook will virtually dislove over time without harm to the shark.

Complete idiot. Guy in wetsuit is a nationally ranked asshole for posing around the shark, as if he knew what the hell he was doing.
People that know sharks dont act like that around them.
