  • This is a very old video. The convoy went the wrong way, that's why they were ambushed. The truck in front was dead in the road, and the other trucks couldn't get around it. The marines did what they were instructed to do, which was keep moving. They did eventually turn around, and come back.

  • Damn that's what an ambush looks like up close, intense.

    I could only imagine the fear coursing through the veins of ANYONE caught in that type of environment. You'll have to keep your wits about you, that's for sure.

    • @jay333dee it didnt happen to all the trucks, one humvee stays to get the truck driver(s) the rest of the trucks and humvees are supposed to keep moving to the FOB instead of getting bottle necked like that, the loss of an entire convoy is greater then the loss of one truck

    • @Monty yeah i understand that. i thought you was talking about that broken truck. The gun truck was pretty much useless, didnt try supress anything at all. if hed have let some rounds off maybe the other trucker could have survived.. Suppose its easy to comment over the internet after the fact. Not so easy when you have limited resources

  • Couple things to know: Those truck drivers are paid a LOT more than the marines. In this case, from what I've read all the truck drivers but Preston Wheeler were killed, yep even the one that passed him - the marines were long gone.
