Sure doesn't look like our Grand kids are gonna enjoy the good life as we did.
Seems the social programs and our national security will be our demise.
Who would have thunk?

@Arizona_Patriot Agreed.
Who would have thunk?
A few names come to mind.
We were warned about the bankers and the military industrial complex.
We didn't heed those warnings.

@kle57 You have tragically mistaken me for a leftist goon.
My stance often is confused, being that mot people see things as left or right.
I'll get it straight out with you since you seem to actually read comments.
I'm despise leftist and the communism they push as "progress"
I knpw leftist goons when I see them.
I also, weirdly despise the republican party.
Because? We were warned of the two party system many years ago.
I am an American.. neither puppet party represents me and y More..

What do I think? First of all, end all foreign aid IMMEDIATELY. El Dumbo just signed a bill to give Israel $70 BILLION dollars. Fuck every other country on earth and lets worry about ourselves first.
Deport all illegal aliens.
Force all welfare recipients to WORK. Even if it is picking up trash along the highway.
Cut government wages, come out with term limits, cut government pensions to match that of comparable private industry, which equals ZERO in today's world.
I could go on for More..

@dirtbiker201 I agree with a lot of what you said but I never have and never will vote republican.
I might have if you idiots had picked Ron Paul but no........ Let's choose a lying, flip flopping RINO as our candidate.
Either way, we are fucked.

I actually hoped and prayed a long time Ron Paul would make it. But now I am stuck with El Dumbo or ANYONE or ANYTHING else. Like a goat, for example. I'd vote for a fucking goat before I vote for Obama AGAIN.

@dirtbiker201 Then just do what your heart is really saying.
Don't vote.
It's not like our votes matter anymore or like they ever did.
The GOP failed once again to provide a candidate who has a chance of winning.
They once again picked a RINO.
They think they are moving to the middle but they are just pissing everyone off.
Complete and utter failure.
Mitt romney is what the collapse of the republican party looks like.
You guys had a choice.
You chose him.
Bad news for you guys.........

the fix is obvious and impossible. Go back to the taxes we had when we had a middle class (in the '60s). Heck, just go back to the taxes we had when we last had a surplus (in the late 90s) and cut the military down to a defense force from a global police force.
Like I said: both simple and impossible for our leaders to do.

With the baby boom generation now being added to SS and medicare, these numbers are guesstimations.
A common sense approach is all thats needed. Just like every person has to do in daily life. You live within a budget. You dont spend more then you bring in, you dont hand out money with no return required, and you ELIMINATE WASTEFULL SPENDING.
What would happen if you or I wrote checks without the nessasary funds to cover it? You better belive you'd be arrested. Its about time these convicts in More..

@GradySizematters The Federal government was never supposed to be a fraction of it's current size.
It has become a festering, all consuming, ever growing cancerous tumor.
It is a millstone around our necks and if not put in check(if it's not too late) will be the end of the union as we know it.

the crazy part is the whole world, well most of it, is heading down the same road...the euro for example, and china is a bubble... i realize these are different crisis, but if everything tips, then what? Just global collapse or does the currency somehow all equalize together...I clearly have little understanding, lol, but i think to say the usa is fukked and usa alone is naive

You are naive to think that the world’s biggest economy failing wouldn’t greatly affect other countries. Everything is interlinked and after all the dollar is still the worlds currency... I'm sorry it would be a mess for everyone, no other way to put it!

I think we are all pretty much fucked no matter what.
We will fall like the U.S.S.R. and the federal government will dissolve.
Each state will become it's own sovereign nation and wars will be fought over territory.
Texas will claim all southern territory, (good riddance), but they will all be cooked by global warming, (ha ha).
California will be like "Dude....what just happened brah????????"
Meanwhile Mexico and Canada will form an alliance and wage a war on two fronts in a frantic la More..

I also read that bankrupt cities in California are cutting public services to fund pensions... I don't think you can get any more stupid than that.
For example Stockton’s former police chief rakes in a pension of more than $200,000 a year, while also working another job. And he moved out of state so he could work another job which pays $75,000 per year
America is clearly has the stupidest (so called) 1st world nation this planet has to offer

The only two problems with this video are the extended projections. Projections assume a steady state and the economy is not steady.
Problem 2 is taxes. Yes, we cannot afford to keep the Bush era tax cuts or the Obama SS tax cut. I'm in the 3% and I would not mind paying my fair share to avert disaster. But increasing taxes alone won't raise revenue enough. The best way to increase tax revenue is to increase the number of people getting taxable wages and the amount of those wages. The gov More..

@MrScabs "the biggest misconception" is believing that money is real. Money is only a token, a representation of stored value. it is created at will. Even under gold it's value is only a representation. Its preciousness looses meaning if not agreed upon by all parties. It is inedible and is too soft to make a good plow or sword.
Where the concept of money gets dangerous is when it becomes disassociated from its source of meaning, when it no longer is connected to goods or labor. More..
