That tow truck driver is probably going to say that it was like that when he hooked up to it. Tow trucks will tow cars as an extortion scheme and sadly, the law allows them to do it. That happened to me once, though luckily my after-market in-dash GPS logged where my car was when it was towed (as part of an anti-theft mechanism), but because it was only accurate to 3 feet, the stupid government still made me pay these sorry-assed scumbags to get my car back.
