Sarah Palin headlined Right Online in Las Vegas Friday, where she encouraged conservatives not to become co-opted by the permanent political class, while also ridiculing the media’s “vetting” of Barack Obama and its unstated implication that eating moose is somehow worse than eating dog.

Breitbart.com has a number of notable quotes from the speech, which included: “You showed D.C. what having a spine looks like. Or, as I said that day in Wisconsin, you showed them how to ‘fight like a girl.’”

In reference to Obama’s so-called “energy strategy,” Palin remarked: “So as we‘re preaching ’drill, baby drill’ …he‘s preaching ’stop, baby stop’ …”

Palin cited a famous quote in the speech: “In a time of universal deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act,” and discussed the importance of “infiltrating and influencing” popular culture.

Palin remarked: “But say for the sake of argument that [the media] couldn’t afford to do the job. They couldn‘t afford to send reporters to Chicago to research a candidate’s record because, say, they spent all their money in Wasilla…Why, at least, did they not read his autobiography?”

As the crowd enthusiastically clapped and people shout out, “Thank you!” Palin continued: “They’d have learned a whole lot!”

And not just about his cocaine usage, she asserted, but also about what he ate…”Fido,” she remarked with a face, referring to the fact that Obama admitted to eating dog as a child.

“I find it funny that the cocktail circuit/circus gives me a hard time for eating elk and moose but come on– anybody have a pet moose? There’s a difference,” she said.

Spotted at the popular event, according to Politico, was a bumper sticker saying, “Don’t blame me! I voted for Palin.”

Just as the crowd supported her, Palin encouraged the crowd: “Every citizen can be a reporter, can take on the powers that be.” Citing Matt Drudge, she continued: “He proved that you didn’t need a Master’s degree from the Columbia School of Journalism.… You need integrity, and you need work ethic.”
